As you can imagine, its collaborative features are limited. I hate to be a lone dissenter, but my experience with PP Professional 14 has been awful, downloaded from Nuance website. Exhausted all I could do and attempted to call Nuance technical support live. Probably the only major company that says we will will call you back Monday during regular business hours……..

Hi William, You are getting that statement because Kofax previously Nuance My guess is that you’ve installed PaperPort enough times so that you’ve run afoul of the activation limit they do not disclose the allowed number of activations. This can also happen if you change hardware and the so-called “machine fingerprint” changes even changing memory or hard drives can alter the machine fingerprint and cause the activation to invalidate.
When this happened in the Nuance days, it was usually not a problem, as their official, written stance was this: “Nuance in general is very lenient on activations and will in almost all cases increase activation limits unless there is clear indication of piracy. We currently waive the support call charge for activation increases. So, the solution to your problem hopefully is to ask Kofax to reset your activation count. Note that only Technical Support not Customer Support can increase activations.
